This was my first trip to Wilmington and as I walked around exploring the town I came across Bourbon Street restaurant. It was a Sunday and NFL games were in full swing. The bar was fun and active with people inside and out. I stopped in for a beer (wasn't hungry) but knew I would come back. The next day I stopped in for lunch and knew immediately I needed some charbroiled oysters. My favorite were the Bourbon (with crab and crawfish) but I also tried the Lafayette (with bacon jam) along with a bowl of Louisiana gumbo.
The oysters were spectacular. Gumbo was spicy and delicious! Exactly what I needed (along with ice cold amber beer). My flight that evening was delayed 2.5 hours so I knew where I had to go again. A quick 10 minute Uber from the airport and I was back again at the bar enjoying more oysters, gumbo, and beer. Totally spoiled me. Great food and staff. Highly recommend this place for watching sports, hanging out, or just chillaxing during the weekend or evening. Definitely had that Bourbon Street vibe from New Orleans. -

3 star average after a couple hundred reviews is probably fair. I'm giving it 4 stars since I thought my entree was pretty good. New Orleans menu but lots of things on the menu (burgers). Hell, I ordered the Cuban sandwich at a NOLA style food joint if that tells you something.
Summary
- Nice looking restaurant inside
- Small outside seating area out front
- Nice diverse menu
- Charbroiled oysters (appetizer) are okay, not to New Orleans standards
- Entrees we ordered were really good (burgers, Cuban sandwich, fisherman's platter)
- Fisherman's platter was enough to feed two people or one person of significant size
- Sweet potato fries were very good. Nothing added to the sweet fries (no sugar, cinnamon, etc) like some places do.
- Hurricane and margaritas were okay.
Overall, I would come back here to eat and drink. -

We walked around after dinner and heard live music so we stopped by for a couple of drinks and it was so much fun! Love the vibe and the decor. Drinks were quite cheap. People started coming it but it never got busy which we love.
Would I go back?
Definitely! Would love to try out the food here too next time we're in town. -

My husband and his group of friends wanted to come here for a celebration. When I looked up this establishment on yelp because of its low rating, I didn't know if I actually wanted to go.. haha. But I was being a good sport and went.
When we came, it wasn't busy at all. Thank goodness! Because some people have complained about their service, but our server was wonderful! He was very attentive. Always made sure my water was filled and that we were happy.
Reading over their menu, everything sounded delicious. My husband and I ordered the Charboiled Oysters Trump and the Bang Bang Shrimp.
Charboiled Oyster - LITERALLY THE BEST OYSTERS I'VE HAD IN A WHILE!!! It had a nice toasty flavor and their seasoning and sauces on it along with the crab meat was just soooo delicious. I originally ordered a half dozen and then ordered another half dozen. LOL.
The Bang Bang Shrimp - came with fries and both were seasoned with Cajun seasoning. VERY YUMMY! And it had this sauce over it that was delicious as well! I asked for more :) hehe. Shrimp was crispy and jam packed with flavors.
I've only tried these two items and it definitely made me a believe of their food! -

Me, My Mr and his parents wanted to spend a couple of hours exploring downtown Wilmington. We got hungry and noticed Bourbon Street. Since we had our French bulldog with us, we wanted to find an outdoor patio. Luckily we did. We were also impressed with the menu.
Our server was very attentive. He took our drink orders right away. We started off with some beers which he highly suggested The Red Hare Soft J IPA and New Belgium Hemperor IPA. We were indecisive and needed another minute to look at the menu since everything looked good. He was very patient. We ended up getting crab cakes with a side of fries (comes with coleslaw) and the Po'Boys Sandwich.
The meals were great! Loved the crab cakes! Very fresh and seasoned well! The fries were coated and still hot! My Mr enjoyed his Po'Boys Sandwich. After our meal, we wanted another beer and decided to get the Iron Clad Smoked Honey Lager. Very tasty!
Overall, great food and service! We really enjoyed it!
